Reformed church

Full description

The reformed church was built from donations and from the heritage of József Veress, the founder of the first spa, between 1937 and 1939, after the plans of Andor Joós. Due to its Szekler style the tower is situated on the side, its floor plan is rectangular, with a tower with two bells on its facade. The interior’s value is given by the wooden paneled ceiling and the gallery, which is made of 132 cassettes containing popular motifs and biblical quotes. Between 2000 and 2005 the church was expanded, keeping and following the old style.

Near the church we can admire the old reformed school, which had been the place of worship until the church was built.
